Bring something you're actually stuck on.
This show only works because the people on it are real, and so are their problems. If you’ve been carrying something and you’re willing to work on it out loud, I’d like to hear from you.
Two conversations, about a month apart.
You bring the situation.
We start where you actually are. You tell me what’s going on and what you think has you stuck. Nothing rehearsed, nothing scripted. I won’t have solved it in advance, because that isn’t how this works.
We find the real stuck point.
Many people come in stuck on something other than what they think. We work through it together on the show until we can name the real one.
You take a technique home.
I’ll teach you one or two of the techniques, and sometimes we’ll start working one right there. Then it goes home with you. That’s where the actual work happens, and it’s the part most shows skip.
You come back and tell us what happened.
The two conversations are recorded about a month apart. What you did, what moved, what didn’t. That second conversation is the whole point of the show.
A few honest things.
This is published, and it stays published. Episodes go out on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and YouTube. Once something is out, it’s out. Say only what you’d be comfortable having a stranger, a coworker, or a family member hear five years from now.
Other people will be in your story. A spouse, a sibling, a boss, an ex. They aren’t here to give their side, and they haven’t agreed to anything. Think about that before you name them or describe them in a way that would identify them.
This isn’t therapy and it isn’t legal advice. I’m a mediator, not a therapist or your attorney. If what you’re carrying needs clinical care, that comes first and nothing on this show replaces it.
Not everyone is a fit. Some situations aren’t right for a public conversation, and I’d rather say so early than partway in.
Situations that aren't right for the show.
Anything in active or pending litigation or heading there. Anything under a court order, settlement agreement, or Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). Situations involving a child’s private circumstances. Anything requiring immediate mental health or crisis support. Situations where the goal is exposing, confronting, or being proven right about another person.
None of these mean your situation doesn’t matter. They mean a published conversation is the wrong room for it.
Everyone who appears on the show signs the same release. It covers recording, publication, editing, and what you’re confirming when you come on. Read it before you inquire, because the form asks you to confirm that you have.
Tell us what's going on.
I read every one of these myself. If your situation looks like a fit, you’ll hear from us within a few weeks to set up a short pre-interview by Zoom. That’s a conversation so we can both find out whether this is right.
If I don’t reach out, it isn’t a judgment about you or what you’re carrying. It usually means the timing, the format, or the subject isn’t right for a public conversation.
Either way, the techniques are in the book, and they work the same whether or not anyone is listening.
